Presario 2100 CD drive

My Presario 2100 is not seeing the cd drive. I was able to use it last week but now it is not showing up under Devices with Removable Storage on My Computer. In the Bios it is showing as not installed. Is there anything I can do to restore it?

Hold up....

I didn't see that you'd it's not showing in the bios, if that's the case the fix it in my link above wont fix it (it won't hurt to try it though)

You could try just removing the drive and plugging it back in again in case it's just a bad connection.
