New computer

My son has a new computer, with broaband via BT. He is trying to set up the windows mail, but does not understand the questions the set up wizard is asking. And nor do I, Is there anybody out there who can tell us box for box what to write into these. How do you know for instance who or what is your incoming and out going server and where do we find the names etc. I'm sure its not that difficult once you know how. If somebody could explain it all we would be very obliged.

is the email account with bt too? if not who is it with (the part after the @ sign in the email address)

The following assumes that the email account is with BTConnect:

If you're asked for the POP3 and SMTP server addresses, enter the following respectively:
pop3.btconnect.com
smtp.btconnect.com
(If those don't work, try setting both to 'mail.btconnect.com')

I was going to suggest setting it up Imap as it can ease a lot of problems in the future.
