I've managed to lose the toolbar that sits on the desktop. The one where you can choose to have a clock, local weather, post its etc. My screen is just blank with the normal background and icons. How do I get it back again?

Thanks

This is called the Sidebar.

Select the Windows circle in the bottom left of your desktop and your main Windows menu appears.

In the "start search" area at the bottom type "sidebar" and the menu should list "sidebar" and "sidebar properties"

Select "Sidebar properties" and the Sidebar Properties window should appear.

Select the option "Start sidebar when Windows starts" and press OK

Reboot your computer and the sidebar should reappear and always start up when Windows starts.
