What is going on with Ebay listings and the P&P section?

I'ts driving me mad ! I can't put a cost on P&P anymore, everything has to be free P&P, what the hell are they doing with it?

Yeah, I know, it's rubbish isn't it?

They changed it a while ago, there's now a maximum P & P you can charge and on some categories it's zero.

Good for buyers but not for sellers so much!

You can override I think by selecting "other courier".
It's too stop those sellers charging 1p for the item and £90 for postage. It avoided eBay fees, but even worse, meant that the buyer was only entitled to 1p if they had to claim through the courts. You can't claim postage fees.
If you auction a dvd for example, it could sell for less than the postage. You end up losing out moneywise and having no dvd!
