Wordpress Blog - failure to access

Hi - I've suddenly stopped being able to access the Wordpress.com website. Using Internet Explorer and Google, the computer looks for the address but simply stays at "waiting for..."

Using Opera, I can access the Wordpress site, but the layout of my blog has changed as if it has been prepared in a standard Word Document - all layouts/themes have disappeared.

Only Wordpress is affected. I can access all other websites normally. Does Wordpress have a problem - or do I? And can anyone advise what to do to rectify the problem?

ps: I'm still marginal technophobic and not any younger. Answers need to be in single syllables. Thanks in advance for your help.

I just tried it on Opera and Internet explorer and it loads quickly on both.

But i've no idea what. thanks anyway

Problem solved - the MTU values in my router were set too low and for some reason the website started to refuse to unscramble the information. I've now set the values about 50 units higher and everything works perfectly. Thanks to ZEN my broadband supplier - they have the best tech support department I've ever dealt with - and I don't have shares in the company.
