I'm in the dark on this one!!!

When a bulb blows in my house the very sensitve fuse trips off as well.This happened last night after re-setting the fuse only one of the six bulbs on the circuit went back on.I've checked that the bulbs are ok can anyone please offer an answer please????? Thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.My first instinct is to blame it on a loose connection in that part of the circuit that feeds the 5 non-responsive bulbs. In such a case it's unlikely, but possible, that the extra current drawn when the bulb blew could cause a spark at a loose connection. Such a spark could have caused the loose connection to move ever so slightly, but enough for the wire to lose contact with its terminal. Whether that's the reason or not, it'll need one who knows, preferably armed with a meter, to find out the root of the problem.
