I have looked at office live but dont think it offers enough web space.
Plus what is bandwidth as i been on a few sites just and i cant make sense of some of the stuff.
can any1 tell me a site i can set all this up through and be able to add new stock and delete pics and description on an item thats sold.
ANY HELP AND ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT.

OK.
> I need unlimited space as i will have around 700-800 books online with pics.
You don't need unlimited space - you just need sufficient space. The two are not the same thing at all...
> I need hotkeys to enter diff catogries etc...
Web applications do not typically use hotkeys. When you say 'diff' do you actually mean 'different'...?

Office Live isn't for websites - it would be completely the wrong solution.

Let me ask you a question first: do you own a car? If so, did you build it yourself? You simply cannot hope to set up an online business without proper training and experience.

i am usually pretty good on computers and can find a way round most things or knows someone that can set things up for me if i cant do stuff.
I just want to open a shop where i can layout options fiction and none fiction.
click the option and you get another page with options, then you get what type of book you're after like sci fi, fantasy , romance etc... you get the drift.
do you know a site i can download all the software from to set it up then i can start putting my stuff on there.
i have looked on freeola , justhost and asp.net hosting.

No. You will either have to teach yourself how to do this, or pay someone to do it for you.

They are web hosting companies. As such, they will host your web content - they won't write it for you...

if I could make a suggestion I think book 1 for your stock should be
http://www.amazon.co....id=1262247276&sr=1-12
What you are asking is far beyond the reaches of what can be addressed on a site such as this.

I would look at something like Joomla (which is open source and free). http://www.joomla.org/
You can add your stock easily, you can add a shopping cart and it is pretty easy to get to grips with.
The quantity that you are suggesting is not particulalry high, so this may be better to start off with and as and when your business takes off, you can get a better site.
Three companies I have used for hosting: www.virtualnames.co.uk; www.one.com and www.1and1.co.uk

www.easily.co.uk has ecommerce packages and Paypal integration is one of the options. You can also purchase a 'web creator' package with lots of templates. This allows you to create a site with the minimum of technical knowledge. Bandwidth is also explained in detail. Their support is very quick to answer any queries.
Good luck with your new venture.

thanx oneeyedvic...
im downloading the joomla demo right now as i type in this.
do i still need a web host to give me a domain or do i get 1 through joomla.
how long would it take roughly to set up a website on joomla.
I do have knowledge with comp systems but not in this field (web building/designing). So i are trying to get as much info i can before i start my site.
TTG : I will be trying the site you suggested later on this evening. I would rather have something simple to set-up and run from home as i work during the day so wont have many hours to spend on a complex site.
hence the reason im asking lol
