I recently bought a 3.5 to 3.5 stereo jack lead (as recommended by another ABer), to enable me to listen to my MP3 player through my Pure Evoke2 DAB radio. It only seems to work when the jack going into the DAB radio is pushed in halfway.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks.

You may have a mono lead/stereo connector (or vice versa) The jack will have 2 distinct seperate parts for mono and 3 for stereo, on the pin.
Whichever you have, try the other type
Is it a stereo to stereo lead as mx asks?

If yes, do you have the same problem if you swap the lead round?

Have you other devices you can test lead with?

If problem persists with other devices then lead is faulty. If no problem with other devices then socket is faulty.

It's all about process of elimination, as sherlock once said 'if you remove all the impossiblities, then whats left are possible'.
