Saving on plug in additional hard drive
1 Answers
Someone recommended on AB using Picasa to sort photos. I downloaded it to my machine and I liked it. Most of my photos were stored on the add on but now all back on my pc in Picaso and it does slow my machine down. Is it possible to load this program on to my add on hard drive where I could then save and work on all my photos? I have spend a long time sorting and naming all my files for hundreds of photos on my pc hard drive. If I can install Picasa on my add on would I have to do this all over again? sorry not a techie as you can probaly tell!

1 Import them - it will COPY them into the directory that is set in the options; by default this is 'My Pictures'. It would appear that this is what you have done.
2 Add Folder To Picasa - with this, it scans the folders you specify for pictures and creates a database of info for them in those folders; you decide whether they are scanned once, always or never. If they are on an external drive then those entries will only be displayed when that drive plugged because that is where the info is stored - no information about them is kept on your main hard drive.
