IE security scare
6 Answers
Help. what have I done? I downloaded Google Chrome because of the scare, it seemed to install o.k. but it doesn't look right, (or I don't like it??) I still have yahoo home page and the printing on everything looks sort of thin, even on AB. I can't find how to change the home page, or indeed do anything. Would I be better off with firefox, is it easier? Hope someone can help. TIA Shirl

BASICS:- included here is a section where you can set what the homepage is
UNDER THE HOOD:- near the bottom is the option to change the font that the browser uses.

When Chrome was first introduced it received widespread praise here on AB, but most of the 'regulars' in AB's Technology section now seem to have gone back to using Firefox (which is what I still use).
Internet Explorer users who switch to Firefox find the layout very familiar, but with pages loading much faster. When used 'as is' Firefox is a great browser but it really leads the field when users add on their choice of extensions. (For example, you can use the 'Adblock Plus' extension to get rid of most of the advertising on this page, which then loads even faster than ever).
If you download Firefox, make sure that you get the British version (not the US one):
