I have just treated myself to a flat screen tv. However, its only got one scart connection on the back. I can plug in my SKY no problem, but what about my DVD player and my Wii? They too require a scart connection. What do I need to do in circumstances as these, please.
Thanking you..... x
Yes, when you buy a new TV it very important to check it has, at least, two scart sockets. My Panasonic is connected to my Sky+ box through AV1 and my Toshiba DVD recorder/player is connected to AV2. Anything connected to AV2 is switched by the hand control.
Most new tv's assume that most of your equipment will be connected with HDMI cables as opposed to Scarts. You will pobably find that your new tv has several HDMI sockets. The new SKy HD+ boxes are connected by an HDMI cable as opposed to a scart
Wii 's can be connected in this way and so can most of the newer DVD players. You can buy HDMI cables from Tesco's for about £10 each.
