digital cameras

I do not possess a digital camera at present, but maybe soon. How do you upload the pictures from the camera to the computer - any information appreciated.

Basically, there are two ways.

1) Use a provided USB cable to connect your camera to your computer (possibly also with provided software)

2) My preferred method - remove the memory card from the camera and place in a USB card-reader on your computer. Your PC will see it as a new drive. Just drag the individual photos (or whole folders) across to your chosen destination on your PC.

Not only do they usually come with the software and cable to do it, but some computers (e.g. my own laptop) includes a slot for the SD memory card that the camera uses (so no camera software or cables actually needed)
