Touchpad disablement

I have just had Windows 7 installed on my Toshiba Laptop which was running Vista and the touchpad has gone into tapping modeagain which had been disabled. I have tried to disable it from the mouse section but can't seem to find where the disable button is. This is driving me mad again is there anyone that could help me disable this function?

At a guess, when Win7 was installed it detected a touchpad and installed a generic driver.
Go to the Toshiba site and download the specific driver for your machine, and you should find that it has additional configuration options.
