Hi All
Why is it that you have to register the E Reader on the Sony website. I do not want to get bombarded with emails from Sony for the next decade.
Can i not just go onto wh smiths or waterstones and download a book onto the reader.
Ta in advance

Because that's the way sony have designed it.

I take it you've just spent a couple of hundred pounds on a product without actually checking where and how you purchase the books for it prior to spending your money.

Actually I have'nt purchased it yet and it's £149 not a couple of hundred pound. Thanks so much for your comment. That is the 1st negative comment i have ever had on this site. Everyone is always so helpful. Congratulations for spoiling it
have you tried amazon?

I would have thought when you registered there is normally a disclaimer asking you to tick/untick the box if you dont want to be bothered by advertising email/phonecalls from sony and other third party companies..? so you wouldnt be pestered
