I've been looking at the cannon and hp all in one wireless printers.
I want to be able to scan all my old photos in and put them on my computer, will this do the job or would I be better getting an orinary printer and a separate better scanner. I'm not sure what the dpi numbers mean quality wise.
Thanks

Using an Epson Stylus Photo RX425 all in one here.

Very good, especially for printing colour pics.
You get what you pay for.

I have an all-in-one beside the computer for general work. To scan quality photos I use a stand alone scanner with a high resolution and a special photo printer. Yes the photo ink is dear but you get a high quality long lasting print.

The dpi mean Dots Per Inch. The higher the number, the sharper the photo is.
I have always believed stand alone items are better ... Often individual components are better quality, and if one part breaks .. you do not have to replace the whole unit.
Canon printers and scanners give very good results, and very easy to transfer to PC. Mine is an all in one from Argos, cost £49.99.
