resizing pictures
3 Answers
Hi
trying to put together a photobook and finding problems with the size of photos. to look at they are fine before uploading but when you upload them only the middle part of the photo is shown in the space the edges seem to be cut off and in most parts that is where the head of the person is! thought that resizing would help, any ideas of a free app to use or is that still perhaps not going to help?
Thanks
Elaine

i made a photobook up once for my brother and wife as a gift.
i used aldis online site.
it was really really easy and enjoyable to use, lots of templates, lots of page colours and designs to choose from.
the quality of the 64 page book i did was EXCELLENT, you couldnt fault it, it was superb and so professional looking.
i chose the A4 hard back photobook, with 64 thick glossy pages of perfect colour photos of their family - starting off from photos of when they first met, through to their wedding, their first and second baby, holidays, family, events, all through to just a couple of weeks before giving it to them at christmas.
it was a real 'this is your life' book for them.
i designed and personalised the front and back cover too which looked great, it all couldnt have worked out better, and all for just under £30!! and that included a small couple of pound p&p aswell! - such good value.
i was absolutely over the moon with it, and so were they when i gave it to them.
i highly recommend them elaine. pop along to their site and have a look.
i found their software so easy to use with lots of different options of design etc to choose from, whereas other sites i looked into were loads more expensive and in my opinion, not so good.
their customer services are good too, any time i needed to ring them up with a question or needed a spot of help, they were very friendly and very helpful.
sorry to have rabbited on a bit (nothing unusual there then lol) but my photobook was just blummin brilliant!
good luck with yours :o)

sorry my reply didnt answer your question....
i guess i was just eager to tell you about the site i used for my photobook and how good it turned out, because quality etc can differ so much from one to the other, and theirs was certainly good.
plus i dont remember having that same problem in resizing pictures when i was doing mine, so i thought if you couldnt get it sorted, trying the aldi one might be an option.
anyway, i hope you got it done ok and im sure itll be great :o)

Are you using one of those websites where you upload your images to then lay out the book? That doesn't work. Better use a service like FotoInsight or Printing-1 where you download the software, layout the book and software uploads a print file. See http://301.se/photobooktest
