Restore points

Is it worth deleting past restore points?Do they take up much(hard)disk space and how do I delete them on windows 7.
Sorry for sounding dim,it was bugging me!

it will only store so many restore points it will delete the older ones as it moves on

Here is a way to delete all the restore points except the latest. As you say it will give you more disk space
