Split Video File To JPEGS
2 Answers
I have a couple of short video files that I have to make into a sort of flick book and I wanted to know if there is a (free) program that will do this for me. If not I will have to screen grab each frame which could get boring.
Preferably on Mac but I do have a Windows 7 computer as well, so one that works on either of them would be great.

TMPGenc (4 XPress) will extract frames as bmp, etc .. but is not free.
Classic Media Player is free, and will extract frames or thumb sets.
6.4.9.1 (middle dload is fine on XP or 7)

GOM Player (which is possibly the best video player there is, although VLC is also highly rated) should do the job for you. See "5.4.3 Advanced Screen Capture (Burst Capture Settings)", here:

I use GOM Player with Windows but it's also available in a Mac version:
