can anyone recommend a really good laptop costing up to about £1000? I'm not into Apple Macs. Providing links to your recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you

Any reason you want to spend that much? What particular features are you looking for:- gaming, video editing, business ?

As you can get laptops for as little as £300 nowadays you have to have a good reason for spending £1,000

You can get a pretty got laptop for £500 or £600
I agree with VHG.

That's a huge budget for a laptop, look at HP or Dell, look for i5 or i7 CPU's, at least 512MB dedicated graphics memory, 3GB+ ram, 500GB hard drive and choose between 15inch and 17inch depending on how portable you want it.
