i´d like to buy one, but all i´ve seen on the internet has been lamps with low level brightness. i only need one for reading and the internet, so would that be the equivalent of a 150w bulb? or what?

150 watts for reading? That seems a bit OTT. My reading lamp is 15 watts.
I have a Phillips wind-up torch and it's utter cr@p. 5 minutes winding gives you a pain in the arm and about two minutes of rather dim light.

bad luck rojash, i´m sure theres better models on the market than your crap torch. i´ve heard that most will give you at least 30mins of light. but its bloody frustrating that technology is slow. i´m not convinced that 150watts is impossible. well ok 150w is ott, but i shoud be able to get something quite bright eventually. might need to try the states!!
There are some quite good wind up lanterns Milletts do some :

You don't need 150w. I have a mains desk lame with a 1w led bulb and it is easily good enough for reading.
My typing! that should of course be desk lamP, more haste less speed etc....
