So my only dealins came when I wanted an upgrade. They wanted 60pounds for a phone that was on offer for new customers for free. 2nd time I tried and was offered 40pounds, I asked to get a new contract and cancel this one, when through the process to get to the right person to speak to and they offered the phone free. sorted :-)
Pain in the butt but I was happy in the end.
I used to work for o2 while at uni....outbound sales so we were always trying to be nice.
However, after I left I've been rang twice and offered money. Firstly, 40 credit on my new number, in exchange for releasing the number on my old sim card (which I never got paid).
More recently, I was offered 50 off a new handset or 50 into my credit balance as I had been with them for so long. That was supposed to go into my account on the first of December there, but never did. I rang up to get responses like 'what was the name of the person u were speaking to...cos we cant do anything without their name' etc etc. I told them about how thats not my responsibility and how I know how their system works and how a note of this should have been made...but their all dumb and dont attach notes to your account.
As 5029 say, its better to e-mail them, and when I did the 50 was credited to my account.
