Play Length - CDs & Tapes

Most CDs have playback of 1hour & tapes 30m each side.....is there a way of recording 200 pages of script on 1 or 2 CDs - without having to record at breakneck speed.

I assume you will be reading these pages of text, recording them and then putting the recorded files onto CDs??
If so, then I would download a program called Power Sound Editor FREE and record the text contents in a normal voice. This can be done in sections and joined later if required.
The above program can alter the speed of the recording without altering the pitch of the voice so you should be able to adjust the speed of the recording to suit the time length of the CDs.
It can do it in Stereo or Mono as required.
