When I open a web site, it only shows about one inch, which includes the address bar. I then have to expand it to get the full page. This is probably something quite simple and has happened because everyone uses this PC. But I don't know how to make the page open with a full view, without expanding it. Can anyone help please? TIA.

You mean the IE browser page?
Try dragging the page out to full view (or try full screen button top right)
Then close browser while holding Ctrl & Shift. Open again to check.
If still doing it, try re-bookmarking the page after deleting old one.
it would help if you posted even the most basic information relevant to the problem, i.e. which browser, how are you opening the web pages and which version of windows.

try this though, when the page opens drag it to the full size using the bottom left corner of the window and then close it, it should open next time the same size as it was.

Clarion - just a suggestion. Chuck always gives the finest info on here and was merely pointing out the error of your question. To use the work arrogance is totally out of order. You've been listening to Alan Hansen too much.
10ClarionSt - I believe you need to maximise the page. Look to the top right corner of the page and you should see three small grey boxes. The first looks like an underscore or minus sign, the middle looks like two boxes one sitting half-way on the other and the last is X. Click in the middle box. See if this helps.
