But, if it's on the old Ipod surely it should already be on your computer, how else did it get on the old Ipod in the first place?

Chuck ...

It's an old iPod, but a new lappy.

My original iTunes lappy crashed last year (you helped my get the documents off my old hard drive, on to my new lappy).

I don't keep all my library of songs on my lappy.

My old iPod still works okay, and I used it at the gym this morning, but I've got a Nano, on to which I just want to transfer my existing songs.
Chuckfickens I have replied to your question regarding my tv . on te chnology earlier thanks
A professional ipod transfer can help you transfer your iPod files to iPod, computer and iTunes.

Key functions:
1.It can backup your iPod files to computer and tranfer music/video/photos from local files to iPod without iTunes.
2.It can transfer your iPod files to iTunes and another iPod.
3.It can manage your iPod as a hard disc.
