I have just booted up my laptop running win XP and noticed that the icon on my desktop had changed
in appearance, upon clicking on it a message came up saying "DVD fab are you sure you wish to remove this program and all of its components" well no I don't want to remove it as I use it quite a bit
but on clicking NO the icon goes back to its new appearance and will not run, every time I click on it the same thing happens, I have tried a system restore but its still the same, what has happened and how can I get it back again?

First of all, does the icon have an arrow at the bottom corner showing that it's a shortcut to the program?

Hi MTbowel yes it does but as soon as I click on it a message apears with the heading
DVD fab Uninstall and then goes on to ask are you sure etc. no matter which way I try to open it the same message comes up..
The uninstaller has run, by the sound of it. You won't recover this. You will probably need to re-install. Fab 6 if you can.
First ... Open Program Files ... DVDFab5 ... Should be around 30 files in it. Double-click the DVDFab5.exe, and see if still the same. If so, you will have to do as above. If opens ok, replace old shortcut with a new one. (R click on executable ... send to desktop (create shortcut) then drag where you like and rename as required.
