I have a new Dell laptop with windows 7. I cannot delete the Web slices on the favorites bar. Help section says right click and delete, which is the normal practice, however when i do this it just brings up the website if not already on it.
Grateful for any help.
I'm not too familiar with Win7 but the small play I did have with it, on a laptop, I did come across a problem with default settings ensuring something was opened when I had merely hovered over it. You may find yours is opening when you don't expect it due to something similar. Just a thought.
This has nothing to do with Windows 7. It's IE 8 which is the same whether you are running Windows 7 or XP.
Right-click the actual button on the toolbar, and click Delete. Confirm that you want to send it to the recycle bin
Difficult to recall default changes now, been a while. But I think I went to the control panel, mouse device settings and then settings and disabled something, and my problem went.
Have now discovered that the problem also applies to other subjects i want to delete by using right button to bring up delete.I think that there must be a block somewhere but I cannot find it.
Found the answer guys, all I had to do was go to Control Panel then Mouse and click on Default, now all is ok.Thanks again all of you for your input, much appreciated.
