TV remotes - Chuck help!! [please]
3 Answers
It's father-in-law's turn in hospital now. He's got a tv in his room, but no remote. He maintains any remote will work any telly [which we've proved it won't], got his Mrs taking all different ones in. Are the universal ones straightforward to set up? Thinking of the bog standard one from Argoss, about £6? He's late 80s so won't be able to do anything too techy

The normal way they are setup is to hold down a combination of buttons to put it into program mode, then enter the code number from the list supplied with the remote that corresponds to the TV and press OK, this obviously only has to be done once for each TV.
