Free Sat Requirements
7 Answers
Hello.
I have an old sky dish on my chimney. I split the cable from the dish with a one into two outlets and plugged it into my free sat box. It doesn't seem to be working.
Q 1. Can I run a free sat box from any dish (in this case an old Sky dish)
2. Can I split the cable from the dish and put two outlets on it ?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

It will take far longer to set your ladders up than it will to change the LNB...its just a matter of removing a pin and undoing the coax lead... sliding out the old LNB and
re- assembling.
Took me about 2-3 minutes....no ladders though as I can reach out of a window..!

Ok, I didn't see you latest.
Get on eBay and buy a Twin LNB

Read the stuff on the page about LNB fittings. You may need an adapter for your LNB arm.
With this setup, you have two independant outputs. Either/both can have a receiver working independantly.
If you don't mind watching same channel on both, use a spare Sky box as a Freesat (with an old card) and use the RF2 outlet to feed second room.
