Freeview

I have bought TV with Freeview built in, but it can only find Channels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & CBeebies. I did have a freeview box & a standard TV which was fine but why would the new TV only find a handful of channels?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Different TVs and Freeview boxes have different 'sensitivities' (i.e.their abilities to handle weak signals). Your aerial is only providing a fairly weak signal, which the Freview box could work with but your TV can't.
You need to upgrade your aerial system. Ideally that means installing a better aerial AND new cabling (which can be nearly as important). This aerial works well in the vast majority of locations:

For very weak signal areas this is better:

However, given that your aerial provided sufficient signal strength for your Freeview box, it might be worth trying a cheap aerial amplifier (under £8 from Asda) first.
