Default setting

With Vista how do I change my default for opening photos in Yahoo. At present if I try to download a photo from Yahoo it uses Word. I want to use Irfanview or something similar.

when you next open a photo, right click and choose the option - Open with....then choose the programme you want - this should now default so it uses that programme for any future photos

I have tried that but I do not get the option to 'open with'. Only the open option.

hold down the left shift key while right clicking it.

From a different angle then :)

open ifanview, click on the options menu and select set file associations then click on the all images button and click ok

this will set ifanview to be the default viewer for images and the pictures should open it it then.
