casio exilim camera

Came to use my camera the other day and it had no power so I put the battery in the charger. The light on the charger flashed red rather than a constant red light like you usually get when you charge it. Left it in the charger a while then put it in camera and it was still dead. Is this likely to be a fault with the battery, the charger or the camera itself? Had it a couple of years and don't want to spend a fortune trying to fix it or replace bits if the whole thing is dead.
