Internet connection

I keep losing my connection after about 45mins. for no apparent reason.I'm using a Belkin N Wireless Modem Router which is only about 18mnths. old. I've tried swiching everything off & unplugging things but suddenly it connects again! Could I have a faulty ethernet connection switch in the computer 'cos sometimes it flashes and then goes off?
I'm stumped.
Any ideas?
Thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I also have the same problem with a sagem router.Wired connection lights flashing on the front of the router when everything ok(very pretty)but then 3 solid lights and everything freezes.I assumed it was to so with my supplier(Sky)cos I have the samee problem with PC and PS3.
But as it doesn't happen every time,I assumed it was one of those wonderful glitches of modern life!
Annoying, very, but I have a bit more to worry about-if it still works I will make do with the odd tantrum.
Still at least I know its not just me going mad.

This is a wired system, going through the supplied TalkTalk modem -Smart AX MT 882 and the mentioned router, the idea being that my wife can use her laptop elswhere in the house. I swicth the sytem on,everything boots and then I get a sound telling me that something is wrong. I look at the taskbar and the image of the small telly has a yellow apostrophe in it and I have no internet connection. My system is Windows 7 Ultimate and is used daily. The light flashes at the back of the case,at the 'ethernet' connection,I've changed the cable(incase it was faulty)and yesterday evening I removed the Belkin router and simply connected through the TalkTalk modem. I still get the sound when I boot but then I connect via 'Network 2'! I'm having great fun here, but before I format my hard drive and reinstall everything I'm going to 'knuckle-down' and try to work through this systematically with the little knowledge that I have and of course with the help of others.
I will NOT go away!
Cheers all
