How can I clear the search histories from google and yahoo toolbars?

The drop down list of previously visited sites on Google can be cleaned by moving your mouse over the URL (don't click it) and once it's highlited, use the delete key.  There may be a more efficient way to delete all at once, but I haven't found it. Since I don't use Yahoo, I couldn't help you...

Try closing the browser window (open a new one first). this works on Netscape, you'll have to try it on Explorer

It's usual to say that your friend must have been using your computer, and visited all those sites that you didn't even know existed.

If you mean the drop down menu then you can turn off 'Autocmplete' under tools options.
