Others forums often have a ...''private message facility''.. it's quite usefull and saves filling up a thread with twaddle as far as other users are concerned.

You can post a 'FAO' question and if the other person responds you can give them a throwaway email address you create from Hotmail or Gmail etc for them to use. Once you have established contact that way you can use your proper email addresses.
