If i was able to download the free version; 1) how amny songs can i get and 2) how do i download them for free, whenever i click on one, it says select your payment method.

I have no idea what you are talking about sorry. You need to record the songs to your computer then drag and drop them on to your phone. Have you recorded the songs using your sound recorder?

Myeah if you are that much into mp3 music downloads rather than just streaming Spotify music, than you need to get some Spotify Recorder to get the job done.

I just have some Audials program I got for some converting stuff that also dubbs up as a Spotify Recorder and works for me to record and convert Spotify streaming to mp3 tracks for offline listening or something like this.

You can't "download" music from Spotify with the free version, but you can record it as .mp3 file format. In this way, there is no limitation for how many songs for downloading. This site show you how to do it in details: http://spotifyrippermac.com/
