My phone and broadband modem is connected to the socket through a micro filter but that makes my phone ring continously.  What is wrong?

Could be a couple of things.  Try replacing the filter with another. If this doesnt work I would get your phone provider to check whether the phone point has its wires connected to the correct terminals, although I would suggest the filter is the main cause.

If you have more than one phone in the house (ie you have more than one phone on the same number as your broadband connection) make sure that EVERY line has a microfilter on them.

I've seen that a few times.

It you feel competent enough, try switching around the two wires in the back of the 'phone socket.
only computerised things such as pc,sky, console should use a filter.phones should plug straight in the wall
