Well bugger Sunday .I went out the back earlier and have got a floating manhole cover ..again .Grrr.
I think they must have put the drains in round here circa 1066 .

Oh Shaney i do sympathise, we used to have niagara past our front door till the folk up the hill got their drainage sorted. Its blooming chilly here but the garden looks lovely. The first of my garlic is just about ready to harvest.

We're always having trouble with the drains .We've got three manhole covers out the back and one on the drive and I think every one of 'em has been blocked since we've been here .
Anyway it's fixed now .Thank goodness for British Gas .Dynarod chap came all the way from Norwich bless him .So I gave him a couple of bob for a drink .I was so grateful .
I couldn't face exploding sh&te all over the patio again :)
It's really chilly here too Woofy .I'm going to have to put the heating on soon.

we've had ours on for the last day or two. DH feels the cold, he always has and now its worse. You have to laugh, I have always been someone who feels the heat and since the flushes started, its ludicrous, I spend most of my time at home in polo shirts or cotton PJ's.

It's miserably cold intit and not just spring fresh. Glad you got your drains sorted shaney, good ole Dynarod....just hope he hasn't shoved it all along to the E. Midlands :o)
I might go to bed very early with my hot packs, my hips are screaming & if I settle down on the settee I'll probably fall asleep, wake up feeling lousy and still have to drag myself up the apples 'n pears.

Poor shaney. Actually I like digging around in drains and clearing them. First started when we lived in Truro and the drain in our yard was clogged and the man showed me the rubbish (nappies etc) that people throw down the loos. He also showed me the little black worms that are crawling around the garden when the drains are blocked. I'm the one here who removes the cover on ours and fishes around with broomsticks etc, although Mr N has all the rods it is me usually who does it.

Poor Robi, get thee to bed, I've been in mine all day, face is slightly better but when will it end. I was so happy on Sat morning before the assault on my mouth! I just don't have any energy at the moment. Luckily I hoovered through on Sat morning, and hija does the washing up and she made me some soup yesterday.
