Embedded Items

I have just been looking at one of the do it yourself web site makers which is free to use but they say
for just a few pounds you can have the ''Pro'' version which amongst other things allows you to embed documents etc, what exactly does this mean and do?

It means you can put things directly in your website instead of making people click a link to download them For example on here: http://www.square-bear.co.uk/ I have embedded a music player and a little Flash animation at the top.

Can't quite see why anyone would pay for this though? All you do is put your item between an <embed> tag.
