Or similar. I get this on shut down. Can anyone explain. It only flashes on the screen so I may not have got it corect..

Can you see that process running in Task Manager before you close?
Check and search the process, and where it is located exactly, on PC

When I closed all my windows prior to shut down, Task Manager said SYSFADER was running. Does this help?

However, it sounds like your machine just needs a rebuild. Sounds like you're running XP, so the machine is probably quite old now. All computers, especially those running Windows, "accumulate" detritus over time and can seriously benefit from a rebuild. Just make sure you back all of your documents first...
