This is in response to my last question in regards to the title.  I did however download the msn and google toolbars, some still come through though, and with google have to press the ctrl key to get into some pages?.  Is this right?

In response to Lucifer answer, I did have SP2 installed but removed it, as found I could not use my scanner, I still have the disc but until I know how to get the scanner working properly I havent re-installed it.  Does anyone have suggestions as to why this happens.

cheers

I find the popup blocker that comes with the Yahoo toolbar better than the Google one.

The reason is that with the Yahoo one it is much simpler to choose which sites are exceptions. With the Google one you have to go into the registry to edit this "whitelist".

As to the scanner problem, it would help if you can give some more details about what happens when you try to use the scanner with SP2. You can also install the latest updates from the scanner manufacturers website.
