Picture in Picture

We have a very large new-style telly that has picture in picture facility. We can apparently also use the screen as a computer monitor.

What I wonder is .... instead of two tv channels showing on the screen, could we have just one picture showing the tv channel and the other picture showing our computing - so that we could watch a bit of telly at the same time as doing a bit of surfing, on the same screen? Do you know what I mean? It is a Hitachi CLE984.

Yes! While in PC mode goto PIP. But with mine, the TV pictur is quite small (17").

In fact I use this most of the time.

I've just tried it and it works a treat - the only thing is, one of the pics is only about five inches in size. Is there any way I can increase the size of the smaller pic, do you know?

(It'd be great if the two pics could be split 50/50). [:o)

There is probably a button on remote to change related size of the two screens .. can on my Pioneer

You are lucky AlBags. I have a 40" Sony Bravia, and am unable to make the TV pictur larger. But I'm quite happy with it. When the TV's boaring I play solitaire.

I can change which pic I have as big and which I have as small ..... can't seem to increase the size of the small one though.

Anyhoo .... it's still a great facility. [:o)

On mine it cycles through the option when you press the button for PIP so it goes small, bigger, side by side, off for example. the you can select the source so you can have TV in one and PC in another. you could of course RTFM, that would explain the full operation.

But of course, if it IS the way you were brougt up, you cannot help it.
