cheers...of course...id forgotten all about belarc

but ist doesnt list "motherboard" - it does say main circuit board...would that be it?

or would it be listed as something else?

thanks
maincircuit board should be the one if you goto the manufacturers website you should be able to find the chipset drivers (incidentally, chipset drivers and motherboard drivers are the same thing, just a different name)

unless you have already done so, at least graphics drivers and sound drivers will probably need installing too (the standard windows ones won't give full performance)

looks like HP are not going to release drivers for my machine...

what does this mean for the coprocessor?

and does it mean i will have to go back to vista?

thanks
Try installing the vista drivers, the driver model is the same for vista and windows7 so if it lets you install them they should work.
If you're still screwed, look at Chipset make and use aftermarket drivers if available. Like Via chipset drivers for instance. They develop compatible drivers constantly.

...not sure which, but something seems to have sorted it - i downloaded a driver finder type thing an also installed the vista one an there is no longer a yellow ! symbol anywhere...
