Sorry to raise this again,but I can't find the answer, could someone educate me as to how I access the precent symbol on the keyboard please

assuming you mean percent, you hold the shift key and press number 5 on the top row of your keyboard at the same time.

% It's above the number 5 on the top line. Use the key for capital letters, an upward pointing arrow and press 5.
