imac and photo's

I have a friend who cannot work out how to delete mobile photo's from his imac. Ihave never touched one, so have no idea. He says that he has been on forums and been told that you can't delete photo's once they're on there. surely this can't be right?

Try Googling without an apostrophe in "photos" - no apostrophes in English plurals...
