Disappearing Excel Files

Help please!! All my excel files have disappeared into a black hole. Can anyone help me please to retrieve them.

Perhaps Excel is simply looking in the wrong folder when you try to access them?

Run a search for *.xls to see if your PC can locate them.

Thanks Buenchico. Do you mean the Search box at the bottom of the start menu?

Yes. Go to Start > Search. If your version of Windows asks you which type of files you're looking for, choose 'All files and folders'. Enter the search term as *.xls
(If that's not too clear on your screen, it's star-dot-xls)

That will find every Excel file on your PC, and show you where they're located.
