Burning a film DVD

I have rented a dvd from the local library and I want to download it to burn a copy. I am having trouble doing this as it doesn't seem to want to burn. is there any way I can do this. Many thanks.

Thank you, didnt know it was illegal.
You are finding it difficult because of the copyright mechanism built in to stop people making copies.
There are ways round it but it is illegal.
why not just steal the dvd? much easier

Use DVDFab or Slysoft software.
If old you can use DVD Decrypter (free)
