An exe file extension means it's an executable file, which is a program that you can launch. Download must mean you've obtained it from the internet. Usually these files will download into your C:\Temp file or C:\Windows file. If you double click on it in Windows Explorer it will automatically launch whatever it is you've downloaded. Do you know what it is you've downloaded?
