I am trying to send a video clip to my Samsung D500. I have tried converting to .mp4, .3gp, .mpeg, .mov, .wmv, .avi, basically everything I can think of. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this video sent to my phone?

Try file types ending .3GP...Don't know what that means but it seems to work and the file sizes and screen sizes seem to be a bit smaller. You may need software to convert your files. I've been using Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 - which is free from the nokia site.
