personally, what I do is to buy bits and pieces at car boots and sell them on ebay.

If you go to car boots, early on you can get bargains before most people turn up, and if you go late when they are packing up, you can get bargains that they don't want to take home.

My best buy was a box full of dungens and dragons books and adventures - 16 from a car boot. I sold the lot for over 300 on ebay.

Try and buy things that you know something about and you know what the price it will sell on ebay. I also bought a load of football programs which are yet to sell (luckily the box only cost me 10).

The only hassle is actually putting them on ebay - their multilister is a Godsend

good advice

I have been using ebay to sell off a load of CD singles.Have made over 200 in the last week alone.

Give the best description possible and try to include a photo.

Be patient, strange things sell for stupid money and things that you think will make loads will sometimes sell for peanuts. It is good fun though.

Enjoy it and good luck

For oneeyedvic......any chance of giving details of what programmes you have on offer? THANKS IN ADVANCE
the best place is in your loft all that old rubbish that you never got round to throwing out ,as your rubbish is someone else's treasure ,but bear in mind the postage ,so if possible avoid heavy things ,or have the buyer collect.i've sold furniture, a garden 3 seat hammock ( i really only wanted it out of my garage) and loads of other stuff that years ago i would have taken to a car boot sale to sell, and like rar ll says it is surprising what sells and what dosn't ,it is still good fun though-especially when you have to bank all those lovely cheques
when you list your item, time it so that it ends on a Sunday evening as a) that is when nearly everyone is in and might be on the PC, b) they have nothing else to do b) you get maximum people viewing and hopefully sparking alst minute bidding.

NEVER let it end at like 4am

Pictures always help and make sure they are your own and not just taken from a website as people trust they are actually seeing things.

If you want to get easy feedback then buy lots of small items like pin badges to get yourself some feedback to make it easier to be trusted.

And set up a paypal account as easiest way to pay, but factor in charges to how much you expect to get from things
toonmilo - around 100 Man Utd ones dating from the 70s to 2000. Just saw a guy selling them at a carboot ND thought they may sell.....haven't bothered listing them yet.....dare say I will get round to it sometime.
