Apparently it is possible. There's one company that claims to sell a handheld television with DVB-T (digital terrestrial) tuner (which they call freeview) however it's the only site on the internet with the words 'handheld freeview'.

I would say the chances of getting a handheld preview are slim. One website I was reading was saying that to get it on even an internal television aerial (rather than a rooftop one) would be possible provided the aerial is powerful enough, but they would still recommend an external one. Considering handheld televisions are probably weaker still I'm not sure.
